7i77 TB2 Field power pins 2-4 was created by alan_3301
I am unclear of the purpose of the multiple VFIELD pins on the TB2.
Right now I have +24V going to pin 1 and ground going to pin 8.
Is the purpose of pin 2-4 to run field power out to devices that require it?
I was planning on having a terminal block to break out power to the different items (servo drive enable and inputs / outputs)
Nothing really power intensive, possibly a relay for the estop circuit (for some reason I got a contactor with a 240v coil, so I needed a relay for linuxcnc to break the circuit when necessary)
I image there is a current limit on what passes through the board on those pins, if that is the case.
Or am I supposed to have field power wired to all the pins 1-4?
Thanks.

If you dont have a lot of load, 1 VFIELD pin is adequate
The pinout on the VFIELD connectors is common across
most of our sserial remote cards including ones with 48 outputs
where 1 pin is insufficient for the total current

Thanks again.
That makes sense.
