mesa 7i78 aux power selection was created by jtc
Hi.
We want to connect an external 5VDC ppower supply to the mesa 7i78 board, but can't find on the manual the correct way to do that (www.mesanet.com/pdf/parallel/7i78man.pdf)
it only explains the jumper selection (W1)
But can find anything where it should be connected the external 5VDC
Thanks,
João
We want to connect an external 5VDC ppower supply to the mesa 7i78 board, but can't find on the manual the correct way to do that (www.mesanet.com/pdf/parallel/7i78man.pdf)
it only explains the jumper selection (W1)
The 7I78 can get its 5V encoder, step/dir and seria
l interface power from the host
interface card if desired. W1 determines if the 7I7
8 gets this 5V power from the host FPGA
card. If W1 is in the left hand position, host cabl
e power is used. If W1 is in the right hand
position, 5V power must be supplied to the 7I78 and
the 7I78 grounds the 4 DB25 signals
used for host 5V power. This option must be set to
match the cable power option of the
host FPGA card. If the FPGA card supplies 5V, W1 mu
st be in the left hand position. If the
FPGA card does not supply 5V, W1 must be in the rig
ht hand position.
But can find anything where it should be connected the external 5VDC
Thanks,
João
