Bit of a shamless plug here as I contributed already, but Granite devices is releasing the IONI servo drive. They have an Indiegogo campaign going on now. It's already reached its goal, but Granite is offering extra perks if they go well over the initial goal.
The Ioni is a pretty cool modular type servo drive system that would be great for retrofits. Plus you can get a great deal on it right now.
