Parallel port 3.3v, any way around this?

Be _very_ careful with the 3.3V direct from the PC power supply,
it has almost unlimited current capability and will fry wires, PCB traces, connectors
and fingers that happen to be touching any of those should you make a connection mistake

I think I remembered to use a current limiting resistor, but it is only 1/4 watt, I should probably addressed that as a long term solution. Thanks for the reminder.
