Started building my first CNC, Bought 4 motors, now looking for a driver board(s). Mesa is what everyone seems to be talking about, is that the make to buy?
Motor specs
Sanyo Denki 103-814-6541
Bipolar holding torque - about 500 oz/in
Bipolar parallel current 6.5A
Unipolar current 4.6A

Mesa don't make stepper drivers, they make FGPA boards which generate the pulses used by stepper drivers in hardware, rather than in software.
You still need stepper drivers
If you want to use the drives at full power, you probably need something like a Leadshine MA860H and at least a 36v PSU, preferably nearer 60v.
Search MA860H on ebay and you will get lots of hits to sort through

Actually Mesa does seem to have one small stepper driver the 7i32
store.mesanet.com/index.php?route=produc...th=65&product_id=143
But it is much to small for your application.
The Leadshine drive mentioned earlier, is probably one of the better/cost effective options out there.
