The video was only posted a week ago, so I suspect the only person who has used it, is the person who made it.

No info on youtube to guess who that was, so hopefully they will make themselves known

I would hazard a guess at Yishin Li from www.araisrobo.com

I would like to give it a try, chances are it is very usable since a lot of data can be moved over a network.
Where can i get one ( or 10 :) )????

Have you tried it? How it went? I am also thinking about this...
I think servo with encoder and ethernet should be enough - does such motors exist at all?

Yes they do, i have seen and serviced a new Italian manufactured 5 axis machine that used TCP (transmission control protocol - it is what internet works on as communication) on all drives and spindle control. I am very capable in electronic and other stuff, but that machine was a good example of "using really good part to make a bad machine" although the machine works, it messed up after 4 months of light use and needed a 4500 euro parts, but it is by for all intents and purposes unserviceable.
Regards,
Tom
P.S.

Can you please describe system - what was the controller, has it supported ethercat?
Do you maybe have some schema of this 5 axis system that you can publish? If not can you just disclose what were the component used?
