Your drive can accept a signal at a rate up to 500khz, but at that rate you should be able to achieve 3000rpm with up to 10000 steps/rev. (You still haven't told us your steps/rev.) The 5i24 should be able to generate steps rates several times faster than 500khz. Hardware step generation doesn't have anything to do with servo period length (or the base thread).
Or were you using Linuxcnc's software stepgenerator instead of the hardwarestepgen?

no iam using mesa 5i24 step generator and yes to get full speed 3krpm i need 10k steps/rev
but i can not get full speed with 1500ns timmings i get only 1950rpm without errors

Maybe it is a TTL voltage problem, the 5i24 only has a 3.3v signal, perhaps this is a marginal voltage level for your drivers?
Do your drives accept differential signaling?
Perhaps Peter could recommend a better daughter card to handle the signal levels your hardware requires?

I would suggest a 7I52S for a differential step/dir + encoder interface
Note that you can get 5V signals out of a 5I24 driving OPTOs if you connect the OPTO LED anode to 5V
and use active low drive

Yes my drives take differential signals for step dir & output differential signals for encoder AA' BB' ZZ'
but i have made a breakout board with a AM26LS31 & AM26LS32.
I will buy a bob from mesa 7i33TA to drive analog because is difficult to config pid in step-dir.
