PPMC will not start up was created by Jake
I went out to the shop last night to put in my new limit switch interface PCB. My PPMC is dead to the world, it has been a few weeks since its been up. But it was just fine that day. I have 5 and 12 volt output from the power supply, you can see the LED on the encoder card blink when power is put to it. Do any of yall have experience with the PPMC to maybe point me in the right direction? I did send Jon an email last night also.
Thanks Everyone!

Since the load fail LED blinks on the encoder card, that indicates the FPGA there is loading its configuration.
How do you know it is "dead to the world"? Is it because LinuxCNC will not start, and you get an error message?
You should try running the diagnostics in the bus mode to see which boards report. Possibly one of the boards needs to be reseated. Another possibility is the parallel port came up in the wrong mode.

Thanks Jon,
After talking to Jon on an email it is sounding like I killed the DC-DC converter on the I/O board
No green lights = not happy PPMC I/O cards.
