Hello,

I just made an update of an old 7i69 successfully
but in the procedure ./ssinstall :
/ lib / firmware / hm2 / sserial folder is well created but no files (files.bin) is copy in folder sserial?
it is necessary to copy (by hand under sudo) all files in the folder. It is normal?

did you
sudo ./ssinstall

Edit:
the (very minimal) script does the sudo:

echo installing ss firmware files:
sudo mkdir /lib/firmware/hm2/sserial
sudo cp *.BIN /lib/firmware/hm2/sserial/

but must be run from the directory with the .BIN files

Yes, but in this script,
from sserial.zip,
I can not be at the same time in the directory: / sserial / utils / linuxcnc / to run ssinstall
and in the directory: / sserial / firmware/ files.bit

In the sserial.zip that I just downloaded, the ssinstal utility is in the same
directory as all the .BIN files

sserial / firmware / BIN files
sserial / utils / linuxcnc / ssinstall

BIN files is not in the directory linuxcnc or there is ssinstall
