"7I49 on I/O 0..23 7I52 on I/O 24..47"
Hi,
concerning the 5i23_7i49_7i52.bit firmware :
At the beginning, before the list of pins, dmesg tells me :.... sserial firmware 43 ....
Then, I can see the pins corresponding to the 7i49 (resolver and other....) I/O 0.... 23 ---> connector P2
but for the 7i52, I/O --> 24....47 I see only hm2_5i23.gpio.0xx.. . (no optical encoder or other)
Question please : In the hal, when calling the firmware, must it add an extra detail other than num_encoder = xx ?
(in another configuration 7i43 + 7i52 + 8i20 + special firmware (thanks PCW) , the 7i52 works very well :)

No, num_encoder should work (and if left out you should get all encoders)

Just tested the bitfile and it works for me, here's the result of the readhmid command:

Hi,
for my test with the 5i23, I had not connected the 7i52 to one (or two) 8i20 --> so " sserial and others " inactive. I think my problem comes from the.
Can you confirm it to me before trying to establish hal connections with the 8i20 ?

hi,
after many tests, I finally found my error : on the second computer connected to the 5i23 I had left the old firmware.....
Now the 8i20 communicates with the 5i23 via the 7i52. Thanks again to PCW for the new firmware.
I now have to establish many connections hal.
I would like to ask you some more questions on his subject
