Read a lot. But I need some help.

I used the stretch ISO and changed to master. And 2.8 is running.
I have 7i76e and connected 7i73, connected via cable according to Norberts pdf.
In synaptic all available Mesa is installed, but there is nothing for 7i76 etc.
Downloaded files from Mesanet and copied by hand in lib/fiirmware/hm2/767.
Run a configuration via pncconf. Axis is starting.

But I can not find the pins for the 7i73 in hal-meter etc.
Also the automaticaly configured .bit file is not in the lib directory.
Nor do I see a bit file for a 7i76e/7i73 combination.

What did I miss or where can I get the missing bit files.

THX in advance

There is no specific bit file for the 7I73, It ( like all sserial cards) is supported by any 7I76e bitfile
If you see the 7I76 pins but not 7I73 pins this suggests a cable wiring error

I could also be disabled in the driver config line in the hal file

I used a tested ethernet cable. Cut and connected. I believe it is ok.

Whats else could it be?

As I mentioned before, It could be the driver command line in the hal file
could still be a cable issue ( crossover cable or non EIA/TIA 568B colors )
7I73 jumpering ( if you moved any from the default jumpering )

What LEDS are illuminated on the 7I73?

Murphy's law. You are good!

In deed, The cable has other colour distribution. Grrr.
Now i remember having read that there existed another norm..

One LED is red. Hope i did not grilled the card.

Will change the plug.
Thx

I dont think i've seen any non EIA cables but have heard they exist...

Not likely anything was damaged (hard to do with just 5V)

24V wiring is another matter...

The red LED is expected if you have power but no communication (it signals a watchdog fault)
