0-10v lathe spindle control (7i76E) was created by sliptonic
I'm converting a spectralight lathe for our hackerspace. steppers are no problem but I'm still a bit confused about how to connect the spindle motor control. I've read a lot of other posts and while there's a lot of information in this forum, it's really hard to find clear reference diagrams and implementations
The motor control is a minarik 210000A. The manual says: "An analog input voltage range of 0–10 VDC is required to produce an armature voltage range of 0–90 VDC with 115 VAC line voltage "
The motor plate says 90V DC, 5000RPM.
So I think I need to scale output like this:
setp hm2_7i76e.0.7i76.0.0.spinout-scalemax 5000
setp hm2_7i76e.0.7i76.0.0.spinout-maxlim 5000
setp hm2_7i76e.0.7i76.0.0.spinout-minlim 0
I'm just not clear on how I need to physically wire TB4 to the POS/NEG on the controller.

Do you have any documentation for the spindle drive?
If the analog speed control connections on the drive are only 2 wires, you will
need to supply an external 10-12V power supply.
This supply may need to be isolated depending on the spindle controller type
( Low cost SCR drives like the KBIC series have "hot" analog control signals that are not isolated from line voltage )

This is the manual for the spindle drive www.minarikdrives.com/documents/250-0090.pdf
It's only two wire.

OK so the analog input is isolated, so you need and external 10 or 12V power supply
(that need not be isolated)
+12V --> TB4.3=SPINDLE+
12V_GND --> TB4.1=SPINDLE- --> DRIVE NEG
TB4.2=SPINDLE_OUT --> DRIVE POS
(that need not be isolated)
+12V --> TB4.3=SPINDLE+
12V_GND --> TB4.1=SPINDLE- --> DRIVE NEG
TB4.2=SPINDLE_OUT --> DRIVE POS
