Hi PCW
I think i managed to blow up one of my two spindle outputs: 7i76e Spindle Enable

Beside buying a new card or sending to repair ( a pain in the a... from Switzerland)

Do you think i have a chance to replace a chip myself.
And with is it?

THX
Mike

The output device is a TLP127 Opto coupler. This (or an equivalent) should be available anywhere
You do need something like SMT rework tweezers to replace this without damaging the PCB

I guess it is one of the two smaller white ic's, and think it is near to the bigger white one.
Right?
I do have all kind of tools and also some for smd, but do not like to try it on that card. To my good luck i have a supplier with a lady who is excellent in that tiny working und i am sure he will be happy to do me a favour ;-)
So i have to lock and place an order..

It was easy to replace the opto coupler.
Easy as board layout and quality is well done.

Now working again on my test bench like a charm.
