Hi,
I am planning my VSD spindle connections. I have analog sorted but grateful if someone can sanity check the Dir and Ena connections before wiring.
SPINDLE ENA-(TB4.5) > Enable drive
SPINDLE ENA+(TB4.6) > +24V from drive
SPINDLE DIR- (TB4.7) > cw/ccw drive
SPINDLE DIR- (TB4.8) > +24V from drive
*The VSD requires active high signals.
Cheers Andy

Look right to me (other than the label on TB4.8)

The basic rule for these Optocoupler outputs is that they should work exactly like a mechanical switch
with the exception that you need to pay attention to polarity (they will be stuck ON if reversed)
and they are somewhat fragile (so if you connect them to a shorted load they will likely be damaged)
Because of the fragility its often best to test the wiring by using a mechanical switch first

That's a great explanation.... I'll be adding it as a note in my 7i76 manual.
Hopefully this helps others as much as it did me.
