Does it's OK to use 7i52S encoder interface with 7I92M and 7I76 boards?

I wonder If I can connect encoders to my CNC with this board.

No, a 7i52S is a 50 pin card and would need to be used with cards like a 5i24, 7i90, or 7i80HD.

With your 7i92, you need to use a DB25 daughter card like a 7i85, or 7i85S.

There's also the (Ethernet) 7I93 (2X 50 pin connectors)

Peter, why doesn't the 7i93 show up in the normal lists of Anything IO FPGA cards on your web store? (Have to click on the "Show All Anything I/O Cards" and there it is the only one listed.)

Can I use such configuration 7i93 + 7i76 + 7i52S ?
What you advise Peter to use for 5axis step/dir drives, encoder inputs from that axis and field I/O devises also with ethernet?

If I'll build 5-axis machine in the feauture, I will use such configuration.

And what names of connectors I should search to connect that boards? With LPT interface much easier.

With a 7I92 and LPT cables the easiest way is probably 2x 7I85S
this gives you 8 axis of encoders and 8 axis of step/dir and 2 sserial expansion channels

Later this year, a better choice would be a 7I95
(Ethernet + 6 axis step/dir +6 axis encoder +6x 5-24V outputs and 24x 5-24V inputs)

Thanks for your answer, Peter.

This 7I95 board should be very cool. I think when I'll desided to make 5-axis machine, this board will be in-time.

As for 7I85S, I'm not sure it will suits me, because I don't see there field I/O.

If you used two 7i85S boards you'd need to add a Smart Serial card like a 7i84 for the isolated IO.

If you only need 5 encoder inputs, you could just use the 4 on a 7i65 + the one on your 7i76. (If you don't need a 6th one for something like your spindle.)

Will this system (7I95+2x7I85+7i84) will support simultaneous work of 5 axis and 8 axis?
