STMBLing through documentation was created by fungus
Good afternoon everyone,
I am attempting to acquire some open source AC servo amplifiers, and STMBL looks like an absolutely fantastic project. (Thank you rene-dev and all the contributors!) Forgive me if starting a separate thread is inappropriate.
I have perused the documentation, and from the information which is provided I should be able to organize a compatible BOM and send off for the PCBs at my usual board fab house. I won't be isolation routing this one
I know that Andy Pugh recently did a run of rev. 4.1 kits ; are there any plans to do a similar run soon? If so, I would love to put in for several to tinker with. I have a small Yamaha SCARA robot that's waiting for some drives.
Thanks for any help. If nothing is being organized, I will be putting some together and I will attempt to document the process.

Do _not_ commit to making any v4.1 boards (or any V4) unless you can find a source of the IRAMS255-xx67-A2 devices. (note the A2 part of the name. The A part has pins that point the wrong way. ). 1067, 1567, 2067 are all usable at different current levels.
It is possible that Rene might have some boards available. Ask on gitter.im/rene-dev/stmbl
Otherwise you will need to wait for the v5 board design, which will hopefully not use a part that is obsoleted 12 months after launch.

I see now that wonderful project and i want to ask if these drives
can drive 1.8kw 3 phase ac servo like this (110st-m06030) www.cncservocontrol.com/servomotor/servomotor_20.html
The performance is comparable to commercial servo drives ?

Yes, the drive can control that type of motor, and is a good fit for voltage and power.
Performance should be equal to commercial drives, and (if using the smart-serial interface) integration with LinuxCNC is better.
Problems exist with supply of the drives (due to a critical part going out of production) and the documentation is currently incomplete.

I saw that. It uses an arm stm32 mcu.
But how it works without a cpld or a fpga ?
Can mcu control output input signals in real time ?
Mine china servos inside have ti dsp mcu in combination with lattice cpld

andy what do you think to throw out china drivers with the terrible manual
and the not so good performance and get STML ?
Do you know when the design will change that does not include
iram256-2067a2 ?
I see that an israel supplier might be have stock...also i found it in china.
Do have stock spare pcb / components or to make an order to china for pcbs ?
I saw the videos on youtube and the performance seems fantastic.
super project...

I am not directly involved in the PCB design, my only involvement was in getting a batch made and writing some of the documentation.
So, I don't know the time-scale for the design change.
If you can find the IRAM module then I have about 30 PCBs spare. You are welcome to some of those.

Do you have the other components except iram ?
I have the equipment to solder them..

No.
For the boards I had assembled the parts were sourced by the board builder in China.
The parts are available from the usual suppliers.
