How to restore 7i70 firmware was created by dmaster
Hi. I've killed 7i70 board firmware by accidet. I have installed new version LinuxCNC. It told me to update firmware.
so i did this .
mesaflash --device 5i25 --sserial
updatess 7i70 5i25 2
then i checked
mesaflash --device 5i25 --sserial
It was ok. 7i70 was online))
then i did a terrible mistake. I unpluged 7i70 and pluged another 7i70 then entered "updatess 7i70 5i25 2 "
after update it does not see the device ( second card)
mesaflash --device 5i25 --sseria give me noththing with second 7i70.
how can i get my 7i70 board back alive?
Thanks in advance
Best Regards
Daniil

Did you go through the process of moving W6 down, power cycling the 7I70, running the updatess script, moving W6 back up, and cycling the 7I70s power again before testing?

I did all this, with the first board. I did not close terminal . just unpluged first 7i70, pluged second 7i70 with w6 down ,and run updatess 7i70 5i25 2.

That should be OK, If the 7I70 does no respond (with W6 up) it probably needs to be returned to Mesa to low level program it
