Help with Mesa board choice

I'm struglling with which Mesa boards to use for my Boxford 250 Lathe. I would like to use the Ethernet boards so that narrows it down a bit.

I need
2 axis for servo drives, can run off step direction and has encoder outputs to close the loop.
Spindle , VFD with encoder for threading (may change to servo for rigid tapping)
Stepper output for ATC

Outputs
1 air chuck
2 Coolant
3 lube system
4 Bar feed or puller

Inputs
1 limits/home
2 door safety switches
3 spindle on and off
4 Estop
5 ATC feedback
6 axis jog selector
7 MPG for jog
8 Fast/slow jog

So I realise that some of those functions may result in more than one pin but I'm unsure exactly what is needed at the moment

1st option is 7i93 Ethernet card with a 7i52s for 6 channel step and direction and encoders then use the other 50pin connector for the I/O (If i need more I/O then I can add one of the serial cards) Can the 7i52 be used for spindle PWM control and encoder? this seems to be the cheapest but easily expandable if required.

2nd option was the 7i96 (which is tempting as I believe there is now a setup wizard) but the servo card would have to be the DB 25 and quite abit more expensive than the 7i52s. Easy setup would be a big win.

3rd option was the 7i80 HD 16 with the 7i52s.as this seems to be the most future proofed option regarding I/O. is the 7i80 better than the 7i93?

Lots of information and questions sorry for the overload. cheers

a 7I96 + 7I85 might be a good option
