I flashed the above firmware and it was successful. Thank you for your help.

For which card the old or new?

PCW is Peter from Mesa I would send the old card back for analysis seeing he has asked for it

If pncconf does not support the 5I24 (looks like you have a 5I20 configuration selected)
you would need to edit the hal file and replace all instances of "5i20" with "5i24"

With my mesa 5i24 and 7i48 i tried to control servo motor with an analog driver. But after i connect the encoder to 7i48 and driver when turning on the machine in linux cnc, motor continueslu rotates cw and encoder value also increasing but when it reaches soft limits it wont stop. After change some settings in calibration window, able to stop after reaching soft limits but totally stop after severel seconds when driver lost enable signal. What should i do to properly tune the servo? Please help.

P= 0.0001
I=0
D= 10
Ff0 = 0
Ff1 = 0.01
Ff2=0
Dedband= 0
Output scale =10
Encoder scale =4000

For starters, you have a 50% chance of the wrong feedback direction ( guaranteeing runaway ) when you intially set things up

I would look at this general guide to tuning velocity mode servos here:

Yes, this is somewhat expected since you flashed a 5I24-25 card with firmware for a
5i24-16 and corrupted one of the flash chips.

To recover, power down and open the computer case and perhaps move the 5I24
card so you have access to the card. Move Jumper W7 to the DOWN position and
power up the computer, The red/yellow lights should blink and go out. Now the card
should be accessible. Now without powering down the computer, move jumper W7 to
the UP position. You should be able to run mesaflash again.

You could just move Jumper W7 down, cycle the power and try again but if you make a
mistake at this point you would corrupt the backup flash chip and there would be no
way to recover except sending the card back.

5i24_25_sv12im_2x7i48.bit is the suggested bit file for a 5I24-25 with 1 or 2 7I48s

Dear PCW,
Could you please let me know the procedure to send memory corrupted mesa card to mesa electronics?
