5i25 and 7i77 unplugged? was created by Catch22
OK so I finally got everything wired and my kid tripped over the 5i25 and 7i77 cable and unplugged it while it was on, now my drives make a high pitch noise and the red lights on the drives don't come on anymore, did this fry something on the board?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Mike

Possibly, its not good to live plug/unplug the FPGA card, especially if its connected to
motor drives etc where they may be a sizeable ground difference. Its probably best to
send the card pair back for evaluation/repair/replacement.

Before you give up, check to make sure the 5i25 is still properly seated in the card slot on the PC. A yank like that could have easily partially unseated it. Also try a different parallel cable while your at it. Otherwise, like Peter said, probably should send the pair back for evaluation.
