I was using gecko a long time ago, they are good but I hated the "divide by 10" feature on the G540. And for the difference of 20-40 euro you also get every possible protection besides very good micro stepping. LAM does have every single possible protection, tested that myself! Reverse voltage and cross wiring of the motor will render any other drive very dead and very smoke covered, but not LAM!
