We are considering producing a ethercat module specifically for plasma which included THCAD like functionality for both voltage sensing and ohmic sensing, a RS485 state machine to talk to Hypertherm plasma machines and sufficient general I/O to run a plasma table. So basically you would only need one module and your drive controllers.. We were not sure if there would be sufficient demand for such a module. Please let me know if you were thinking of multiple units as it is a cool idea and we have the ethercat sorted already.

Hi thefabricator03,
I'm looking for options to connect THC300 to my ethercat system, do you have any proven option ?, thanks.

Hi thefabricator03,
That module seems very interesting, although I would like to try the beckhoff modules I think the EL5101 can be a good option, I hope to see your progress, thanks.
Hi Rodw,
That seems very interesting, a module with all these functions would be fine, for now I am just looking for tests and how THC works, thanks for the contribution.
