Mesa 7i76e defekt? was created by DC67
Hello
Im using iHSV57-30-18-36 and Mesa7i76e .Now I have the problem that stepper port 3 outputs only 1.6v. In addition, Dir +/- and Step +/- are reversed in all stepper connections 0-4. If I plug it on plan I have a negative -4.4v at the rate that's why I connected on the minus. Without connector on the stepper connections I measure 4.9v with plug / cable 4.4v at port 0 + 2 +4 respectively. For stepper connection 1 3.8v and for stepper connection 3 only 1.6v. Everything measured at the exit you (see pictures link). Step +/- is the same everywhere with 4.4v I do not use the 5v input but 24v. Also, all jumper default except for the ip. Is this a defect or am I doing something wrong here? Measurement Mesacard picture link .
I tried different servos on stepper 3 and always same low voltage.
I was able to find out a source of error. Linuxcnc reverses the connections of you +/- and step +/- on startup. I did not know that's possible through the operating system. Which parameter is that or where can i find something about it? But it does not change the low voltage.
regards Michael

Sounds like a bad or possible damaged driver on channel 3
The card should be returned for evaluation/repair
The polarities are correct (the outputs should idle with STEPN+ low and STEPN- high)
+ means positive step pulse
