7i76 repair? was created by VVO
Hi
Unfortunately, i think, today i accidentaly killed my 7i76, during debug cnc machine cabinet.
:( And it was last one
+24V slided down to board and touched +5V bus.
As result - short circiut inside dsPIC (i found that, desoldering Vdd pins on ICs)

So question is - if i replace this dsPIC with new, can i flash it with PICkit2?
Is there avaliable binaries to do that?
I have tight deadline to run this machine, and looking any variants to run it ASAP

Of course, i looked to mesanet store at once, but these boards signed as out of stock :(
Knowing how long can be shipping to Russia plus terms when they became avaliable, frustrate me.

Try
eusurplus.com
it's in Portugal so might be faster, or not.

You should be able to flash the DSPIC with PICkit2, though if you got 24V on the 5V rail I would expect more widespread damage (the DSPIC is not on the 5V rail. its powered by 3.3V derived from the field power, so if 24V shorted to the 3.3V rail more 3.3V chips may have been damaged)

Is the DSPIC firmware for the 7I76

Thanks a lot!
Seems i confused with 5V and 3.3V. It should be 3.3V supply.
Now trying to buy proper dsPICs in local store, but i find that they relative exotic in this part of world)
Is dsPIC33FJ16GS402 replaceable with dsPIC33FJ16GS502?
Store says that 502 will shipped much faster.

Possible but not too likely.

Other options are:
Get a 7I76E (connector compatible with 7I76)

We could mail you a dsPIC33FJ16GS402
(it fits in an envelope, no idea how long it would take though)

Add a 7I84 (has same field I/O as 7I76 except no analog spindle)

Unfortunately we have had large delays on some cards due to the virus
but we expect to get 7I76's next week sometime

Sorry to say, but i would be carefull with the austrian. Make sure that he can realy deliver. To my best knowledge I was not the only one who had not the best experience.

On the other side i will only speak positive about eurosurplus. Good and fast.
