5i24 capable of pwmgen output type 2 ?? was created by Nitram
Hi Peter.
I have a servo drive which when being driven in velocity mode it is of the pwmgen type 2, in other words from the servo manual "Velocity command input -10V~+10V".
I have used the 5i24 and the 7i29 in the past in type 1 mode, i.e. PWM value and Dir bit, but never in type 2 mode.
Thus I am not sure whether the 5i24 can indeed output a -10V to +10V PWM signal to drive this type of servo drive, or whether it is limited to 0 to +10V combined with a direction pin...
Could you please confirm?
Thanks,
Marty.

Yes. if the pwmgen module is present, all modes are available.
Note that the 5I24 doesn't output +-10, just PWM but there are daughter
boards that convert the PWM to +-10V.
