Hi pcw
I'm wondering if it would not be better to have the pc's ethernet port without any gateway configured. I know that by principle there should not be any activities going to that address range. In the same time i strongly advise to have a gateway on the other port. The question is if you have any expirience or made some test on that point?

Not sure if it causes any actual harm because of the iptables filtering
but definitely don't configure a gateway address on the realtime port...

Thx pcw
Yes, i think i saw that in one of the other post...
I have my test environment not ready but i would not be astonished if that can cause eratic delays / watchdog bites.
Iptables can sometimes give nice headaches...
Mike
P. S.
Mabye we should have that not having a gateway in the docs?
