Thanks exactly what I was after.

I’d just like to add the support for Mesa products on this forum is far by the best I’ve ever seen from any manufacturer.

Cheers
Rob

The parts we use are "Welink" brand as they are side stackable
and quite reliable.

example part numbers

F73-B-3.5.08P (8 pin side entry 3.5 mm pitch plug)

F83-5-3.5-02P ( 2 pin 3.5 mm pitch vertical header)

Peter, I'm a bit confused with the plug part numbers so a bit of help would be appreciated
I tracked the part down to this link

welink-sh.com/show_product.aspx?Products...ctsCateID=87&Order=1

And the red text takes you to this PDF

welink-sh.com/Upload/PDF/%E6%8F%92%E6%8B...73B3-09364357816.pdf

Which shows the green part number takes this form
F73-B-3-XX-Y0050

Where XX is the number of terminals (eg 08 = 8 pin)
But I don't understand how to specify Y which refers to the screw. I think it should be 1 but can you confirm?

I'd greatly appreciate your advice as I have a designer doing some work with me to interface with a 7i73 so I need to instruct him.

I managed to get the plugs from RS
RS Stock No. Qty Unit Price Goods Value Description
825-0840 25 $1.90 $47.50 Wurth Elektronik, 3631 3.5mm Pitch, 2 Way Pluggable Terminal Block
825-0852 10 $3.61 $36.10 Wurth Elektronik, 3631 3.5mm Pitch, 4 Way Pluggable Terminal Block
au.rs-online.com/web/p/pcb-terminal-bloc...enabled%22%3Atrue%7D
And the headers from Ali Express
www.aliexpress.com/item/32397432750.html...3.0.0.71814cc1l86aqn

These were the most compatible I could find. I used all the plugs but I have a headers left over if you want a sample or 2 of the 10 way ones.

Rob, thanks. I made a note of them. Hopefully PCW will chime in. Seems the main thing is to choose a part number for the header with the correct pitch and the plugs can come from anywhere. There is an insane number of screw terminals required on my board.

These might save space if you aren't 100% sold on pluggable connectors. I've used them on a db-25 breakout board.

Those PNs (without the extensions) are the exact numbers that I order with,
and appear on quotations from WELINK. Pretty sure you would be OK with their
defaults (Green and Y=1)
