BOB does not generete step was created by veroski
good evening, i am new to linuxcnc and i wanted to ask you for a hand
I tried to control the Nema 23 motor and the driver (online stepper dm542t) through the BOB bought here
www.amazon.it/Macchina-Incisione-Interfa...+%2Caps%2C188&sr=8-5
to create my .hal and .ini file I used the stepconf tool but when I have to test the engine, it doesn't run. so I performed these operations to resolve various doubts:
- I tried to control the driver with arduino by creating a pwm generator, and everything works
- i tried to check the output voltage at pin step and pin dir, on step pin there is not voltage and on pin pin there is.
- I tried to change parallel port to verify that the problem was not upstream
can you give me a hand to solve the problem? I don't know how to proceed anymore. thanks

Could you please attach your hal & ini files please.
Could you also give the output ofjust the info about the parallel port will be fine
&
Also could provide some information about your computer, whether the Parallel Port is built on to the motherbord or a PCI - PCIe card and the version of Linuxcnc ?
Could you also give the output of
lspci -vn
&
dmesg | grep -i " par"

yes, it was just a connection problem. I remind everyone that to make the BOB work with the drive, you have to put the negative in common between the two systems
