Ah sorry I wasn't very clear there. I'd like to use P1 exclusively for the MPG. I've got the VFD connected to the SSR outputs for the enable and fwd, and will use the PWM on step/dir 4 for the PWM to the VFD.
Is it possible to use just one of the encoders on P1 in 7i96_1pwm_inmdp1.zip and use the rest of P1 for the other MPG switches? What would that encoder on P1 be called?
Thanks in advance,
Oliver

Hi Peter,
Thanks for that! Do the inm encoders start in A/B pairs at P1 pin 1 / IO34 onward?
If I set number of encoders to 2 will that correspond to the encoder on TB2 plus one inm encoder on P1?
Thanks in advance,
Oliver

The inm encoders are always present
and they start at inm0 and continue to inm7
(Enc0 a,b, Enc1 a,b etc))

Not sure off hand,
mesaflash --device 7i96 --addr 10.10.10.10 --readhmid
should show the particulars of that bit file

Hi Peter,
I got it working perfectly with the MPG pendant on P1. Thanks for your help!
