Add a second 7i73 >> solved<<

Is it possible to daisy-chain a second 7i73 to already installed 7i73 ?

First one is in mode 1 and second needs to be mode 2

You would need an additional RS-422 interface

Can this interface be close to the other 7i73 = rj45 to interface and 2 new cables to 7i73's

7i76e + CAT6 (~5m difficult to add another) to 7i73 located in monitor stand.

So can I place RS-422 interface in monitor stand moving RJ45 to interface and add two new cables to each 7i73.

You need to add another board to one of the 25 pin connectors that has a RS422 interface...

Put a 7i74 then you can add up to 8 more cards via rs422, 7i73 being one option i believe. I use it alot for adding tons of I/O.

Rod/bevis are you saying that it must be connected to 7i76e P1 as P2 is occupied by 7i85s?

One of the free ports. But you cannot connect it directly to one of those. Your existing 7i73 i assume is connected to the only rs422 port on the 7i76e so thats why you need the 7i74 if you want to connect more rs422 boards. 7i73 has a rs422 interface, so you need a card that has rs422 interface.
The ports are smart serial, so a 7i74 is an rs422 distribution card that you can put 8 rs422 devices on.

I am sure there are other ways to skin the cat, but i think this is the easiest and most versatile.

This will be a bit expensive and also PITA to install a new CAT cable.
