doubt about mesa card 7i76e was created by sibelius
Good evening to everyone.
I almost finished wiring all the electronics for my new XYYZ router and I am in the middle of studying the card's manual.
So far my machine has 4 stepper motors but i am planning to add another 2 stepper in the future.
My doubt is about the power supply; I have purchased a 24 VDC powers supply for the card and i was thinking if I need at this stage (with 4 stepper motor) to power up TB3 or I can just power up TB1.
This is probably to most of you a stupid question but this part seems to me a bit unclear and please take into consideration that I am a very slow learner.
Another question is about the jumpers named W7 and W12 that in my case are both DOWN (in my understanding i don't need to enable power to some break board that I don't have) but my question arise when I saw I document in this web site that show how to wire this card and on the first page under jumpers, set up W7 up and W12 down..
So I suppose the set up is W7 UP due to the fact he has wired a break board (W7 control the power option on P1 and W12 control the power option on P2).
Who are P1 and P2 ?
Any help would be great.
Thanks in advance.
V.
PS I might leave this topic open because i am sure that some more doubts arise on the way.

1. You need to supply 24V to both TB1 (Field power) and TB3 (Ethernet/Logic power)
2. W7 and W12 don't matter if you are not using the 26 pin expansion connectors P1 or P2

Good evening everyone
I manage to wire the mesa card and set the Ethernet communication to ping the card.
So far so good.
Next step was to set the Pncconf Wizard for my machine, I m going to open a new topic for this.
Thanks again
