7i92/G540/C10 encoder number's

So I have a 7i92 connected to a G540 just cause I had it. A Cnc4pc C10 is hooked to P1. I have a THCAD-300 hooked up for THC on the C10. I've been looking into adding ohmic sensing to my torch which is a plasmadyn USA P60 torch supposedly manufactured in the US along with it's consumables. Consumables seem to very very similar to ANY P40/60/80 consumables from China. Including the ones from Everlast for there P40 hand torch. Anyways, can/will the 7i92 support more than 2 encoders with the 2XG540 bit file? Would I need a modified bitfile that adds the capability or is this something like a pipedream.

The g540x2 config has 2 encoders but more can be added with a custom bit file

Guess that's out then. I looked at creating bit files and stopped when I reliazed I was out of my element. I can read C, C++, lua, python and even understand it. but bitfiles are out there.

Here's a thought. what about using an arduino to read the freq output of a THCAD-5 and use that as input to the C11. Basically we're looking for an on/off to say we've hit the material.

Its not that big a deal to make bitfile with more encoder 'A' inputs
