Member "00alkskodi00" posted a question about Mesa 5i22, link below.
Google translate, amended and edited as google is not doing a good job of it:
I have such a problem
I had Whezzy LinuxCNC 2.8 with RTAI kernel installed and today I dropped Buster with LinuxCNC2.8 and after copying my configuration from the old system to the new one it just doesn't work, I also tried to copy lib / firmware / hm2 / 5i220 ... it didn't help either
a few months ago I tried linux mint with a preempt-rt kernel and it also did not work, so today I tried a new attempt with an official iso from linuxcnc.org
I don't care much and I don't think about anything else but I can't think of how to reinstall on RTAI, I'm not a pro so please
I still tried lspci and I didn't find it here, but here is a list of lspci:
Should be 5i22, the "not caring about anything" thing is lost in translation as most probably should be "he could not find anything", and lspci is not showing the card.

This may mean that the bitfile selected in your hal/ini file is corrupt or the wrong
file (for a different card) or that the 5I20 failed to program due to some kind of
access error or data error.

hm2_5i20.0: FPGA asserted /INIT: CRC error
hm2/hm2_5i20.0: failed to program fpga, aborting hm2_register
hm2_5i20.0: board fails HM2 registration
