LinuxCNC support for XY2-100 interface using xy2mod and 5i25 board was created by mahdi2001h
Dear all
I want to use xy2-100 protocol to control a galvo laser and have a 5i25 board
I read this topic , but not enough
I build linuxcnc 2.9 from master branch and worked correctly with 5i25 board
now i want to know what i should to do step by step for adding xy2mod in 5i25 firmware
Can anyone help me?
regards

I can build 5I25 firmware with xy2mod but what daughterboard/pinout do you need?
At the minimum most XY2-100 galvanometers require 4 RS-422/differential output
signals: X-Data, Y-Data, Clock, and Sync. If you have a Mesa daughterboard for
step/dir, these are convenient to output on step/dir pins since these are differential pairs
on 7I76, 7I78, 7I85S, 7I88, etc. You could also buffer these signals with a single
RS-422 quad driver chip (like a 26ls31)
