Hello,
I have a 7i76e with limit switches going from in25 thru in31
as stated in title 28 and 29 are not working(not responding to 24v applied)
27 and 30 work as expected
I have inverted them and no luck
Im in the testing stages with the board on my bench.
I've tried to change their function (switched to manual spindle cw and jog button inputs)
using Halshow i can see they dont respond no matter their function
I can easily work around this but Im hoping someone will shed some light on this
As soon as i get an email from Mesa that the 7i73s are done I can work around it

Thanks
TC

Try connecting one of the working sensors to those inputs.
If only those two are not working, probably dead from over voltage or wiring issues.

Can you verify (with halshow) that

hm2_7i76e.0.7i76.0.0.input-28
hm2_7i76e.0.7i76.0.0.input-29

Reads 0 when you can read 24V on the 7I76E inputs
28 and 29 (at 7I76E TB5 pins 13,14) relative to field
power common?

Sorry to bother everyone.
So my method of testing was just touching a +24 to the terminal screw
when I used a wire in the hole and tightened down, both ins work as
expected. In my defense the touching screw tops worked for all other inputs
My test etch a sketch:

Yeah the terminal block screw is not necessarily connected to the
7I76E until its tightened.

Thanks! Thought an etch a sketch was a cooler way of testing than a piece of tape on a motor shaft.

Thanks again for the fast responses
This site is an incredible resource

Must be a bit heavy to turn upside down and shake....

You are 100% correct. I didn’t think that thru.
My seven year old daughter thinks it’s cool and likes to use it but dad has to come erase it.
I tell myself I don’t need the gym now :)
