It might be possible to play a bit with one axis using just a simple HAL comp
and RAW-READ/RAW-WRITE until the HostMot2 driver supports it directly

8i20 at home, very nice hardware. Is there anything new in the software development workflow EMC2?
Master development version? It is possible to learn more about HOSTMOT2 INTERFACE 8I20?
I have a beta-version of the 8i20 driver available as a patch, it needs testing on a variety of hardware.
It will need rather more work and testing before it is even ready to be submitted to the development branch.
In a less-developed state are modifications to the bldc-sine and bldc-hall HAL components that are likely to be needed in any practical application to convert encoder counts to phase angle (or hall-sensor position to phase-angle)
