The 7i76 gets a 5V power supply from e.g. 5i25 or external supply. And another field power supply. That's commonly 24 V.
Are the two ground potentials of the two supplys galvanically separated from each other on the card or are they connected?
I'd like to power the LED lighting in my x/y camera with an I/O output from mesa 7i76 but the LED is connected to USBs ground and therefore to the controlling PC.
(No measuring possible in the next days.)

Yes, the entire field I/O section is galvanically isolated from the 5V
You can connect the common together if required
