What power supplies do I need for Mesa

I'm retrofitting a Lagunmatic VMC, and will be using Mesa 7i92, 7i77 and 7i84.

Am i correct in assuming that 7i92 requires a 5V supply, 7i77 requires 24V and 7i84 can use 5V from 7i77 and still needs 24V field power?

Thanks

Yes, 5V to 7i92 and 7i77 (make sure jumpers are set), 24v field power to 7i77 and 7i84 and wire the 7i84 into the 7i77 rs422 port with an ethernet cable. Thats the way I do it.

I run a 7i92, 7i76, 7i73, 7i83 & a 7i74.

The 7i92 is supplied by a 5v PSU, which in turn supplies 5v to the 7i74 & 7i76.
The 7i73 gets it's power via the 7i74.
The 7i76 get its 24v from a 4.5A PSU & the 7i83 gets its power from a separate 24v 1.5A PSU.
So for the Mesa cards I use a single 5v PSU and 2 24v PSUs.

I also have a third 24v PSU that powers the contactors that control the power to the above PSUs as well as the 48v Stepper PSU and 15v PSU for the Odroid and the 240v AC for the spindle drive (which has a couple of line filters and a line reactor).
All the contactors are control via switches that control self holding relays(a small pcb sorts out the connections). In the event that I get a power failure everything doesn't turn back on, except the 24V relay\contactor PSU.

Yeah I guess there are a few PSUs in there, but I wanted to keep noise as low as I could.
240v wiring is kept to the left hand side of the cabinet and all control & low voltage are on the right hand side.

Although it sounds like a mess it's very logical and very easy to wire up.

How big do I need to go on the power supplies?

The Lagunmatic already has a 24VDC supply for relays etc, but I might as well put a new supply in for the 7i77 and 7i84, and will need a 5V for all three cards.

The 7i92 can supply 5v via it’s connectors to the other boards.

7i83 has 24v @ .63A
I have a single 5v @ 3.0A
And a 24v @ 1.5A for the 7i76, which maybe a little “light”.

The above are Meanwell HDR series, all DIN Rail mount.

The contractor/relay PSU is 24v @ 3.0 A Weidmuller.

The stepper PSU is 48v @ 10A Weidmuller.
