store.mesanet.com trojan virus ??? was created by my1987toyota
hey guys I wasn't sure were to post this . I went to go to the usual Mesa electronics website store.mesanet.com and malwarebytes (an antivirus / ad-block software) said the site possibly has a trojan virus . I am a bit concerned obviously. However has anyone else had
this warning come up, or is malwarebytes getting a false trigger?

I have heard this from a total of 3 people now
I don't think its likely and I don't get any warnings from
Malwarebytes here. It would be nice if MalwareBytes
indicated the file it had issues with...

WOW that means they started in the late 90's . I wonder if Linuxcnc was much of a market share for them back then?

Oh, in 1998 I was the second outside user of EMC, Matt Shaver was the first, and I found out about it from him. Ray Henry was the 3rd. So, except for directly related to NIST, the story doesn't go back any farther than that.

I started using the original NIST EMC in 1998, with a Servo to Go card in an ISA-bus Pentium classic PC. I started making interfaces for analog servos in about 2001 (Pico Systems). I later added a stepper interface in 2002 and digital servo amps in 2004 or so. I'm guessing Mesa was doing something not directly related to EMC/EMC2/LinuxCNC at their beginning.

Great history lesson . Apparently you can still get PC104 boards ( from different manufacturers ) they sure are expensive though .

I came along more than a decade later, but found myself writing an ISA card driver in 2013 (pcl720.comp) despite never owning an ISA bus or having ever seen a PCL720.
As Naomi Wu says "If I can do it, anyone can do it"
