A old newe here. I built 3 machines with my beloved 5i22 +7i33 cards. They are been working like a charm.
I thought it would be a good idea to try the new 7i97 for a two new machines, so I bought one.
I have some files .ini and .hal that I can work on it to modify to the new 7i97. (having some experience with 5i20 would help I hope)
But!!! I was looking for the bit files on /lib/firmware/hm2/ and there are not 7i97 folder with the necessary files on it.
I installed the "LinuxCNC 2.8.2 Debian 10 Buster PREEMPT-RT ISO"
I invoke the big masters here: Please could you point me out in the right direction to make the 7i97 start to work, or just feel she is alive!

The 7I97 already has firmware installed in on card flash memory so does not require
firmware to be loaded at startup like the 5I20,5i22 etc.
There is a basic 7I97 configuration file set in the 7i97.zip file at Mesa
and I have included a copy here:
