Hello for everyone.
I can't find any information how configuration rs422 port on mesa 7i77.
I need to transmit s32 variable to PLC (tool number)
Siemens PLC can receive information on rs485 or rs422.
Do i can transmit s32 number on any another method?

Hello for everyone.
I can't find any information how configuration rs422 port on mesa 7i77.

You would need to flash the 5i25 (or whichever FPGA board the 7i77 is plugged in to) with a firmware that puts a UART on the RS422 port.

I don't know if such a firmware currently exists, I can't see one in the standard firmware set. But it is possible to make custom firmwares.

It might be easier to send the number via a conventional serial port, if your PC has one, or a USB-to-RS485 dongle.

I assume that the PLC already exists and runs the toolchanger? Otherwise bear in mind that LinuxCNC has a built0in software PLC.
