I inserted a new 6i25 and mesaflash gave me this:
$ sudo mesaflash --device 5i25 --readhmid
ERROR: no HOSTMOT2 firmware found. FFFFFFFF
Configuration Name:

General configuration information:

Configuration pin-out:

That was the first point that confused me because I bought the 6i25 in a bundle together with a 7i85s and everyone says that a firmware should be installed.

Trying to flash gives me this:
 sudo mesaflash --device 5i25 --fallback --write 5i25_7i85sx2.bit
Checking file... OK
  File type: BIT file
Error: BootSector is invalid

Then I tried this
$ sudo mesaflash --device 5i25 --fix-boot-block --write 5i25_7i85sx2.bit
Checking file... OK
  File type: BIT file
Erasing sector 0 for boot block
but nothing happens after this.
I also tried with
$ sudo mesaflash --device 5i25 --fix-boot-block --fallback --write 5i25_fallback.bit
.. the same result

The LEDs on the card are always off.
Any idea what could be wrong?

I bought the Mesa cards two years ago, so I thought that would fit to my not brand new mesaflash version
But sure I'll try.
