I just did an install, and can't find any mesa firmware on drive. Where do you get it/is there an easy way to install them.

I'm using debian unstable, and a 5i22 card (not much available) the directory where they should be- /lib/hm2 etc dosent exist.

you need mesaflash to update the firmware. You can install with
sudo apt install mesaflash
sudo apt install mesaflash

Pretty sure Mesa 5i22 loads the firmware at boot time, so there is no flashing.

I am just trying to run the example configs supplied with linuxcnc. The files from mesa aren't even named similar. (Case and there's a "b" and an "s" in two of the bin file names not sure which suits.

The machine im currently doing up is a Chinese/fanuc lathe, it went 4metres underwater, so I'm rebuilding everything. It's actually quite well made. I rebuilt an old m4 around 13years ago, it drowned as well, but I don't work at that place. I put up lots of posts back when I did it.
