I am trying to figure out the wiring for the YL620 + Mesa 7i76. The VFD has the following pins:

Unfortunately the VFD handbook has no more details on each pin.
The Mesa TB4 pins:

I am *guessing* the following connections from the Mesa card connector TB4 should be made:
  • Pin 1 Spindle- to GND
  • Pin 2 Spindle out to VI1
  • Pin 3 Spindle+ to 10V
  • Pin 5 Spindle Ena- and Pin 7 Spindle Dir- to XGND
  • Pin 6 Spindle Ena+ to REV
  • Pin 8 Spindle Dir+ to FWD
On the VFD, P00.16 would need to be set to 1, which according to the handbook has the following description: "1: REV(X6)Determine direction:Open Yes FWD,Shut Yes REV;FWD(X5)Start command:FWD Stop,REV Boot"

Can anyone confirm this wiring?

Do you have a link to the manual?

Ideally you can set the drive so it has a a drive on input and drive direction input

Sure, here is the PDF link . I am guessing you are referring to P00.16, which I think would need to be set to 1 for the proposed wiring.

Yes, it looks like P00.16 must be 1

I think you have DIR/ENA swapped on your connections

As far as I can guess, when P00.16 =1, FWD = ENA and REV=DIR

You might verify operation with mechanical switches first.
