Configuring a 7i97 was created by petmakris
Is it mandatory to change the IP address of my 7i97?
I see in many posts that people change IP address to 10.10.10.10 (stock IP is 192.168.1.121).
Do I really need to do that?
My office/shop network is 10.0.0.0/255.255.0.0 so I am cool with the Linux box having 192.168.1.1 and 7i97 192.168.1.121.
Any other reasoning I am unaware of?

No issues however you set it, just beware that you can not use a HUB or Switch between the Mesa board and the PC.
Direct cable from PC to Mesa, only.
