I would like to bring this drilling machine back to life with as little investment as possible. since it has only one axis (step /dir and have dc servo driver for motor), everything else is on pneumatics and that's where I need a couple of outputs) is there any Mesa card other than 7i96s that I could use. thank you

Something that simple, I'd probably either just use a parallel port, or maybe the GPIO on a RPI.

Yes:) it never occurred to me that the Chinese bob card could be used, because I've never used linuxcnc and it's not Mesa, it can be configured via stepconfig right? Thank you

Great! It will wait until spring, i certainly understood the point, i need a BOB, some medium computer that would accept some version of linuxcnc and time;) Primarily, the machine had a plc with control along that axis every 32mm (the hardware for the furniture has that raster).. than axis stop and activate pneumatic valve ..than it raises the z`` axis and automatically turns on the drill, it takes a few seconds, it goes down, deactivates the valve and goes to the next hole..I think it can be solved with a couple of m codes, of course I can also make a path for making a slot for something.(Btw nobody wanted to buy it in this condition even for 150e, so it occurred to me to install a brain in it:) Thanks a lot guys!
