Mesa 7i96s with 7i85s daughter card

Hi, I recently purchased the two Mesa cards above. The 7i96S is recognised by LinuxCNC (after using a crossover cable ) without any problem, but the daughter card does not show. When I run halrun only the pins of the 7i96S are shown, but not the 7i85S. Do I have to flash another firmware or what? On the homepage of Mesa their is no Firmware for the 7I96s to download. Where from to get?

Sorry for disturbing, but I do not get around with the two boards. I flashed the firmware 7i96s-7i85sd.bin to the 7i96s board. Unfortunately the 7i85s is not visible or could be accessed. Both boards have power and the flat ribbon cable is ok and only 15cm long.

Please help!

Addition: The 7I85S has power, the led on the board lights up. Though this can not be the issue.
