Configure 7i78 with 7i96s

Hi, 

I configured successfully 7i96s but I don't find any information how to configure a daughter card. I tried to only MesaCT but there is a bug that disable the tab for configuration. In pnfconfig there is tab called P but I don't really find anything useful there for adding motor.
I guess it should be done through the HAL file but not idea where to start, where I can gather more information about it?

I already flash the correct firmware using MesaCT (7i96s_7i78d.bin).
Maybe I didn't express my problem well enough so let me try to this one more time. In my CNC system there is 6 motors so 5 goes to 7i96s with no problem and the last one needs to go with the 7i78... I don't know how to configure this or from where learn about this more

I suspect you will have to hand edit the hal /ini files for this
(stepgen 5 will be on 7I78 stepgen 0 pins)

I would start with a configuration for just a 7I96S. Then the main work is copy
pasting bits of the original hal and ini files to add the missing joint and pid comp

Is this 3 axis and 6 joints or something more exotic?

The machine will be XY1Y2ZBC.
I guess you right about editing the hal & ini files...
I'm up to the task and ready to learn whatever is needed but It's really difficult to find resources about this specific task. There is anything like this somewhere?

I would create the partial configuration and then read the hal and ini files
in conjunction wit the hal documentation, As I said, the task is really just copy/paste/change numbers...
