The above topic is locked so I can't reply to it but this is an additional step if you are using WiFi or other additional nework connection:
When editing the Mesa ethernet connection as per the original topic instructions, click on 'Routes' and select 'Use this connection only for resources on its network'.
This will stop other network request (Firefox etc) from trying to route through the Mesa card.
