New 7i96s new install was created by n2fastcars75
Hi looking for help getting a 7i96s going. I'm sure its something easy but I can't seem to figure it out. Just trying to figure out how to get hostmot2 firmware installed for the 7i96s in the file system lib/firmware folder. When I go to start a new conf in pncconf wizard I get the message there's no hostmot2 firmware downloaded in lib/firmware/hm2/. It won't let me just copy and paste into the folder. I have the hostmot2 downloaded from mesa. I have tried pinging the board at 10.10.10.10 and it showed it sees the board. But when I go to test axis in wizard nothing happens. I also went into mesaflash and looked for 7i96s but it can't find it. But when I look with mesaflash for addr 10.10.10.10 it gives me ETH device 7i96s at ip=10.10.10.10. I'm thinking there's a bin file that is needed just no idea how to get it copied into firmware folder? Thanks

Just create a new config, enter the values as you best can, save, start the config and check if things work.
You can make as many configs as you want or need.

There is no need for it, just skip it. It was and is for older Mesa board, new ones have it's own flash.Just trying to figure out how to get hostmot2 firmware installed for the 7i96s in the file system lib/firmware folder. That's a bogus warning and only confuses new users. Try my
Mesa Configuration Tool
it's much more friendly.
